Sampler Analysis Probes
Brief immersion, easy removal, rapid smoothing to speed up production in steel mills, ferrous and non-ferrous foundries
Immersion Sampler
Function
Produces a metallurgical sample.
Details
- A non-treated steel cap protects the sample inlet from slag penetration and provides complete protection against rough handling and shipping damage...yet melts away quickly in the molten metal.
- An additional non-treated steel cap avoids any contamination of eventual floating impurities.
- Shell-moulding holder
- Mould chamber
- Quartz tube to protect the cardboard tube end from steel penetrations.
- A deoxidant wire or plate is inserted into the quartz tube to kill the effervescent steel during the sample filling.
- An optional clip assures the good closure of the moulds.
- Paper protection tube: Rigid, dry and must be tested by local engineers to assure that the thickness of the walls is enought to protect the lance during the immersion on the basis of the max bath temperature.
Sample shape
Round - 35 mm /12 mm thickness
If for logistical reasons it is more convenient to buy spiral tubes keep attention to the thickness of the walls and test the assembled products at the maximum temperature value, before approving the production. All the refractory cements used to fix the various components are carefully controlled during the dry procedure.
Dual Level Immersion Sampler
Function
Produces a two-stage metallurgical sample typically requested where an automatic device is installed to skiver and analyse the samples
Features
- The first stage is a homogeneous metallurgical specimen for spectrographic analysis.
- The second stage gives you up to four, precise 1 gram punched slugs for combustion analysis.
- Tube I.D. = 39/40 mm.
- Manufactured with a quartz fill tube
- Used in applications where temperatures are between 1580 °C and 1720 °C.
Sample shape
DoubleThicknness 12/4 mm
Laddle Stream and Vaccum Samplers
Function
Produces a metallurgical sample with 70 mm pin for chemical or combustion analysis
Features
The 12 mm sample shape is an homogenous metallurgical specimen for spectrographic analysis in steel applications
Sample shape
Round - 35 mm /12 mm thickness
Lateral Immersion Samplers
Function
Produces a metallurgical sample recommended for full automatic skiver machines
Features
The 12 mm sample shape is an homogenous metallurgical specimen for spectrographic analysis in steel applications and for X-Ray analysis in iron applications
